he UK Insolvency Helpline, the UKs leading free debt advice service is pleased to announce that from March 2009 it will offer a low cost IVA service to consumers. The service will be call The IVA Helpline and will have its own dedicated website called, www.iva-helpline.co.uk

Many IVA (Individual Voluntary Agreement) companies charge high fees for their services and there is growing concern that consumers are not always given full details about the choices they face when they become insolvent. IVAs and Bankruptcy should be seen as a last resort and not as an easy way out of debt. By offering a low cost IVA service, the helpline hopes to advise consumers on the best path for them to take.

The UK Insolvency Helpline will be Britain\'s first low cost provider of IVAs (Individual Voluntary Arrangements) and will start operations on Tuesday May 2nd 2009. The service aims to provide an efficient and compassionate service to people who are suited to an IVA; to improve transparency and returns to lenders; and to influence the marketplace for the good. This year the UK Insolvency helpline expects to carry out 150,000 counselling sessions.
